The KleenWater KW431 replacement filter is compatible with the Aqua-Pure AP431 system. It is also compatible with the AP430 system. The KleenWater KW431 hot water protector cartridge contains the active ingredient phosphate, which sequesters or binds calcium and magnesium hardness minerals, preventing them from precipitating out of solution and building up on metallic surfaces. Phosphate also forms a thin protective layer on the pipe wall or metallic surface, which helps to eliminate hardness build-up and corrosion.

The KW431 filter significantly prolongs the life and improves the efficiency of traditional and tankless hot water systems. It protects hot water systems from acidic corrosion and hard water scale, saving energy, which is both environmentally friendly and economical.
It is recommended to change the cartridge every 6 months.
